The burden of caring for the street kids of Uganda or anywhere in the world is immense. It is one that cannot be ignored. To see a child abandoned on the streets or trying to find something to eat in the garbage is heartbreaking. Martha’s Kids is an outreach program that Martha Hamba of Kampala, Uganda operates with a handful of people. It is supported through her personal sacrifice and the giving of friends and contributors from across the world. Her mission is to give a loving Christian home to the lost and forgotten children of the streets. Through her guidance and love, Martha currently protects, schools, and houses 25 children.
In a leap of faith, Martha’s Kids completed a dormitory for the children in January 2013.
